Dear Bitruers,
The world of cryptocurrencies unfortunately has many scammers and hackers trying to make a quick buck by stealing funds. In order to keep your coins safe, we urge all Bitrue users to stay vigilant and monitor their security practices.
We would like to remind all users to take the following safety precautions:
1. Change your password regularly
Use unique passwords for every site and change them regularly. This will ensure that if your password is being shared in a blackmarket database, it will likely no longer be in use by the time a hacker tries to use it to access your account.
You can use services like LastPass to securely generate, update, and store your passwords.
2. Update your PIN Code
Your PIN Code is used to make withdrawals from the Bitrue. By changing it frequently, it becomes harder for other people to steal your funds. Your PIN Code should not be something simple (e.g. 123456) or obvious (e.g. your date of birth). It can be changed on your Bitrue Account Security page.
3. Be aware of security events on your email
If you have a Google account, you can view suspicious logins on your account and other security events on your security page. We recommend checking this page regularly.
4. Alert us immediately if you notice anything suspicious
Don’t be scared of raising a false alarm. If you notice any suspicious activity on your Bitrue or email accounts, tell us immediately and we will freeze your account. Your account can be reactivated after we verify your identity, but stolen funds can never be recovered! We are available at support@bitrue.com
Finally, please be aware that we do NOT provide official support on Telegram, we will never ask for your passwords or PIN Codes, and our only Twitter account is @BitrueOfficial.
Thank you for your cooperation, have a good day!
Best Regards,
The Bitrue Team
