6th October 2023 – Bitrue, a world-leading digital asset exchange, today announced it has become licensed in Poland as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the VASP authorization number RDWW - 954, granted by the Polish Tax Administration Chamber. The VASP authorization allows the company to provide crypto asset exchange and custody services.
The exchange has been committed to upholding the regulatory standards expected in the EU region and adherence to EU AMLD. Bitrue introduced enhanced money laundering policies and procedures, and conformed with additional Polish regulations pertaining to VASPs as part of the license application process.
Europe is an important and developed market for Bitrue in terms of its market size but also in relation to the projects Bitrue works with across the region. This new license is therefore important in furthering developments. Bitrue welcomes harmonized rules for digital assets at the EU level, such as MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets Regulations), and the look-ahead initiatives by the bloc to embrace, foster, and mainstream virtual asset adoption.
In line with Bitrue’s plans to improve and refine its business, the company may now look at achieving a greater presence on the continent, especially given the opportunities for research & development in digital finance and the digital economy. Bitrue intends to enhance its service offering and protect its reputation in Europe, and the Poland registration, as well as the MiCA rules, provide the basis for operational equivalence for Bitrue to take a more established role.
